SUBJECT: Approval of Certifications for California Children's Services and Child Health and Disability Prevention Programs
RECOMMENDATION

Director of Health and Human Services requests approval of and authorization for the Chair to sign certification statements for the Child Health and Disability Prevention program (Agreement No. 220184B) and the California Children's Services program (Agreement No. 220185B) confirming the County's agreement to comply with all applicable provisions of state and federal laws governing these programs for Fiscal Year 2021-2022.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The California Children's Services (CCS) and the Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) programs are administered by the Children's Medical Services (CMS) Branch of the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS). CMS requires counties to submit certifications signed by the local governing body chairperson for each program.
Staff received these certification documents from the State in October 2021.
