EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The authorization of this agreement with Air Instrumentation provides for supply, maintenance, and service to hazardous materials equipment used by the Napa Interagency Rescue Team personnel. This equipment is used by emergency rescue personnel in order to respond safely to emergency incidents that contain airborne toxins not readily identifiable by sight or smell.

Future fiscal impact:
These inspections are completed annually. County Fire will continue to budget for inspecting, testing, and repairing of its Hazmat equipment.
Consequences if not approved:
Not approving this contract would hamper the Fire Department's efforts in the annual inspection of the Hazmat equipment inventory. Maintenance and calibration are required by law and the manufacturers.
