EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The County received funds from Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) as a settlement for damages caused by the 2017 North Bay fires. The Board of Supervisors has previously allocated $4.5 million of these funds for the repair of Mt. Veeder, Dry Creek, and Partrick Roads with $2,500,000 identified for Mt. Veeder Road, $1,000,000 for Partrick Road and $1,000,000 for Dry Creek Road. The type of work on Partrick and Dry Creek Roads differs from the work on Mt. Veeder Road so it was bid separately. On July 1, the Clerk of the Board opened bids for the reconstruction of Dry Creek and Partrick Roads, and the lowest responsible and responsive bidder was determined to be Granite Construction Company. The Partrick and Dry Creek Roads base bids and added alternates came in below the engineer's estimate and the Director of Public Works requests award of the contract.
