Director of Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) requests approval of and authorization for the Chair to terminate Agreement No. 170806B and sign Revenue Agreement No. 230296B with Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), for participation in the County-based Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (CMAA) program under California's Medi-Cal program.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Approval of today's action will enable the County to claim CMAA provided by HHSA's Public Health and Alcohol and Drug Services Divisions and our community providers.

Discretionary Justification:
There is no mandate to accept CMAA funding, however, acceptance will allow improvement to the availability and accessibility of Medi-Cal services to all eligible, and potentially, eligible individuals in Napa County.

Future fiscal impact:
Appropriations have been included in the approved Fiscal Year 2022-2023 budget and future fiscal years will be budgeted accordingly.
Consequences if not approved:
HHSA will not have an agreement in place with DHCS to receive CMAA revenue for allowable activities under the Medi-Cal Program.
