SUBJECT: Renewal of Revenue Agreements with California Department of Food and Agriculture
RECOMMENDATION

Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights and Measures requests approval of and authorization for the Chair to sign renewals for the following Agreements:
1. Agreement No. 200286B with the California Department of Food & Agriculture (CDFA) for a maximum of $20,497 for the term October 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 for reimbursement of expenditures associated with placing and inspecting traps for the detection of Asian Citrus Psyllid (ACP); and
2. Agreement No. 170909B with CDFA for a maximum of $500 for the term July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 for activities related to the performance of nursery inspections and enforcement work.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Approval of the requested action will renew the County's revenue agreements with CDFA.
Renewal of Revenue Agreement No. 200286B reimburses the County for placing, monitoring, and inspection of insect traps during the winter months to determine the geological spread of ACP.
Renewal of Revenue Agreement No. 170909B reimburses the County for nursery inspection and enforcement work (inspecting nursery facilities ensuring the area is clean and free of pests and ensuring proper labeling).
