Sheriff requests the following actions regarding the State of California Department of Parks and Recreation, Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division Grant Funding:
1. Adoption of a Resolution to receive grant funding in an amount of up to $80,744 for the period of January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023; and
2. Appoint the Sheriff as agent to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to, applications, agreements, amendments and payment requests which may be necessary for completion of the project, subject to approval of County Counsel.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On March 4, 2022, Sheriff's Office applied for $80,744 in grant funding from the State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation, Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division to offset the cost of law enforcement patrols by Sheriff's Office Off-Highway Vehicle Team in isolated areas of the county during the period January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023.
Approval of today's actions will adopt a resolution to receive the grant award and authorize Sheriff or designee to sign the project agreement and related documents. The project is to provide Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) related law enforcement activities within the jurisdiction of the Napa County Sheriff's Office.
