Accept and file the quarterly report of donations in the amount of $2,000 or less gifted to Library from January 1, 2024 through March 31, 2024, and authorization to accept a donation in the amount of $3,500 from the Robert and Ellen Streich Family Endowment and sign a letter of appreciation. BACKGROUND
Board of Supervisors adopted the Napa County Library policy, Section 29, authorizing the Library Director to accept on behalf of the Napa County Library donations in the amount of $2,000 or less, and up to $10,000 by Friends of the Library groups to support existing Library services and programs. Today, the Director of Library Services and Community Outreach is reporting donations received during the third quarter of fiscal year 2023-2024 in the amount of $4,604.
On April 10, 2024, the Library received a donation in the amount of $3,500 from the Robert and Ellen Streich Family Endowment, a Donor advised Fund of Napa Valley Community Foundation. The donation is for the Napa County Library literacy center. The donation will help fund literacy projects and programs at the Napa County Library.
Staff requests acceptance of the donation and authorization for the Chair to sign the attached letter of appreciation. Donations are deposited into the Napa County Fund accordingly, and will be used to support ongoing services, projects, and programs.
