Appointment of Xuexin Xie to the Napa County Wildlife Conservation Commission to represent Youth Member with a term of office to commence immediately and expire February 1, 2026. (No Fiscal Impact)

BACKGROUND

The purpose of the Wildlife Conservation Commission (WCC) is to advise the Board of Supervisors on policy matters related to the preservation and enhancement of wildlife and their habitats. This includes how funds received by Napa County, which are comprised of Fish and Game fines, should be expended for the preservation, propagation, and protection of birds, mammals, fish, and amphibians.

 The WCC consists of eight members appointed by the Board of Supervisors as follows:

                     Four members representing the Public at Large;

                     One Sportsperson/Angler;

                     One Wildlife/Conservation representative;

                     One Youth between the ages of 15 and 25; and

                     One Planning Commission representative.

Requested Action:

Appointment of Xuexin Xie to the Napa County Wildlife Conservation Commission.
