EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Planning Commission will be provided a presentation and general overview of Napa Valley Transportation Authority's V-Commute Travel Demand Management Program as a means to reduce Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) for project mitigation purposes. Ms. Miller's presentation will include background on NVTA's Travel Behavior Study to inform the Commission about who, why and where people travel in the County. Ms. Miller will also provide an overview of the V-Commute Travel Demand Management Program and how it can be used to reduce work and visitor trips working with employers. Ms. Miller will also include suggestions on how the new V-Commute program can meet VMT mitigation requirements associated with new and expanded developments.

As new winery proposals and modifications increasingly include VMT mitigation and other sustainability measures, a greater understanding of the program would be beneficial to PBES staff, the Planning Commission, as well as interested parties.
