BACKGROUND
In December 2023, the NVCF invited eligible animal welfare organizations to apply for available grants from the David and Jane Gotelli Family Fund (Gotelli Grant Program) for up to $30,000. The Napa County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center applied for and have been selected to receive a $60,000 general support grant from the NVCF Gotelli Grant Program to be distributed over two years. Half of the grant funds are expected to be delivered in April 2024 and will be available for use in FY24 and FY25. The remaining half will be delivered in April 2025 and will be available for use in FY25 and FY26. The Animal Shelter has received grants from the Gotelli Grant Program since 2019. Funds support general operations of the Animal Shelter with a focus on medical needs and the community spay/neuter voucher program which supports management of feral cat communities.
