BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION

District staff are currently engaged in completion of the last two increments of the Napa River/Napa Creek Flood Protection Project (Project) that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has determined to be in the federal interest to pursue.  These increments are the Floodwalls North of the Bypass Project and the Imola to Hatt Floodwalls Project.  At the current time, staff are progressing the design of the Floodwalls North of the Bypass Project towards a projected construction start in 2025.  Staff are also working with the USACE to outline their role in approval/acceptance of the NCFCWCD’s design and construction efforts of these projects.
