SUBJECT: Acceptance of Awards from California Department of Public Health Tuberculosis Control Branch

Director of Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) requests approval of and authorization for the Chair to sign two Acceptance of Awards from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Tuberculosis Control Branch (TBCB):
1. Real-time allotment in the amount of $15,122, for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023, for Tuberculosis Control Local Assistance Funds (Agreement No. 230306B); and
2. Allotment in the amount of $4,418, for the term January 1, 2023 through June 30, 2023 for a supplement to support tuberculosis prevention and control activities (Agreement No. 230305B).

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Approval of today's action allows for the County to accept the following awards from CDPH TBCB:
1. A real-time allotment in the amount of $15,122, for normal TB prevention and control activities. The County previously accepted an initial allotment in the amount of $6,935, so this revised installment brings the total to $22,057 for Fiscal Year 2022-2023; and
2. An additional allotment in the amount of $4,418 to support activities related to screening, evaluation, and treatment of latent TB infection (LTBI) and TB disease, including laboratory services. This allotment must be used between January 1, 2023 and June 30, 2023.
