BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION

Board of Supervisors adopted Napa County Library policy, Section 29 authorizing the Library Director to accept on behalf of the Napa County Library donations in the amount of $2,000 or less and up to $10,000 by Friends of the Library groups to support existing Library services and programs. Today, the Director of Library Services and Community Outreach is reporting donations received during the second quarter of fiscal year 2022-2023 in the amount of $4,408.46.
On December 16, 2022, the Library received a donation in the amount of $25,000 from the Winiarski Family Foundation. The donation will help fund projects and programs provided to the community at the Napa County Library locations. Staff requests acceptance of the donations and authorization for the Chair to sign the attached letter of appreciation.
The donations will be deposited into the General Operations Fund and will be used to support ongoing services and programs.
