EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Waste Tire Enforcement Grant will provide the Napa County Solid Waste Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) resources to survey, analyze, and inspect tire dealers, auto dismantlers and other businesses for the ongoing environmental health and safety problems of hauling and storing waste tires. The LEA has worked closely with CalRecycle waste tire staff in the inspection of waste tire generating businesses to ensure proper transport and disposal of waste tires. The grant program is currently on a 1-year cycle, with the same application required every year. The State requires a Board resolution authorizing the submittal of an application.
