Deputy County Fire Chief requests authorization to declare Asset Nos. 26937, 26999, 27003, 27013, 27110, 27111, 27112, and 27141, Holmatro Rescue Equipment Pumps, which are capital assets, as surplus and no longer required for public use, remove them from the inventory, and dispose of at public auction. The Napa County Fire Department has deemed the Holmatro Rescue Equipment Pumps to be outdated and have no other use within the Department. County Fire requests authorization for the capital assets to be deemed surplus, removed from the County's capital asset list, and disposed of by public auction.

ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The Proposed action is not a project as defined by 14 California Code of Regulations 15378 (State CEQA Guidelines) and therefore CEQA is not applicable.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
The Napa County Fire Department currently has 8 Holmatro Extrication Equipment Pumps (capital asset numbers: 26937, 26999, 27003, 27003, 27013, 27110, 27111, 27112 and 27141) that have outlived their useful life and have become outdated. The pumps were originally purchased more than 10 years ago which makes it difficult to obtain parts to provide maintenance and upkeep.
