BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION

The Napa County Fire Department currently has 8 Holmatro Extrication Equipment Pumps (capital asset numbers: 26937, 26999, 27003, 27003, 27013, 27110, 27111, 27112 and 27141) that have outlived their useful life and have become outdated.  The pumps were originally purchased more than 10 years ago which makes it difficult to obtain parts to provide maintenance and upkeep.

Today’s recommended action will allow the capital assets to be deemed as surplus and no longer required for public use as well as authorize its removal from the County’s capital asset list for them to be disposed of at public auction.
