BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
The Napa County Health and Human Services Agency-Mental Health Division solicited qualified proposals via an RFP process on September 21, 2022, to provide administrative oversight, management, psychiatric recruitment, and psychiatric medication management services for HHSA-Mental Health adult and child/adolescent medication clinics. Traditions Behavioral Health (TBH) was awarded the contract resulting from the competitive RFP process and will begin medication management responsibilities out of the HHSA South Campus Medication Clinic.
TBH will manage and provide administrative oversight for all County medication clinic responsibilities and will recruit and retain three permanent full-time adult psychiatrists, one permanent full-time child/adolescent psychiatrist, and one permanent psychiatric medical director that will conduct half-time administrative duties and half-time patient care responsibilities. All positions recruited will be considered employees of TBH and will be administratively and clinically supervised by TBH. All Contractor employees will work collaboratively with County staff and leadership to ensure best practice patient care. All psychiatrists recruited are expected to possess desired qualities of competence, compassion, empathy, integrity, and have high ethical standards in practice. Doctors must also carry an active board certification with the American Board of Psychiatry and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
