Public Defender requests approval of and authorization for the Chair to sign Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 200401B with Polly Webber, Immigration Consultant, to increase the maximum compensation per fiscal year by $1,640 to a total of $11,000 per fiscal year, effective for the 2021-2022 fiscal year and onward.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed action is not a project as defined by 14 California Code of Regulations 15378 (State CEQA Guidelines) and therefore CEQA is not applicable.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
The Public Defender provides its attorneys with an immigration consultation to fulfill the Office's obligation
to assist clients with immigration questions and consequences. Over the years, immigration has become a
complex issue and the immigration consultant offers vast knowledge for Public Defender attorneys.
