Director of Public Works requests the following actions regarding the 2022 Annual Guardrail Repair, RDS 22-06:
1. Approval to create a new Roads CIP Project for the 2022 Annual Guardrail Repair, RDS 22-06 (Fund 2040, Org 2040500, Project 22032); and
2. Approval of the plans and specifications for the "2022 Annual Guardrail Repair, RDS 22-06" and authorization to advertise for sealed bids and opening bids at time, date, and location to be published by the Director of Public Works pursuant to section 20150.8 of the Public Contract Code.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The 2022 Annual Guardrail Repair Project will repair damaged guardrails or replace old guardrails to improve traffic safety and comply with current standards. The base bid for this contract includes approximately 9,000 linear feet of guardrail on 15 Roads. An additional approximately 2000 linear feet of guardrail on 5 additional roads could be awarded through additive alternatives depending on how the bidding process goes.
