District Attorney is advising the Board of Supervisors that she will be travelling out-of-state to attend the National District Attorney’s Association, Public Information Officer Training from August 21 - 25, 2022. The estimated cost of $2,000 will be borne by the District Attorneys’ budget unit.

District Attorney Allison Haley is regularly the point of information distribution for the District Attorneys’ Office. This course is designed to help meet the demands of transparency within the bounds of ethical obligations, giving focus of the importance of on presenting information to the public. |

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
Napa County District Attorney’s Office is a member of the National District Attorney’s Association (NDAA). The NDAA is a national, non-partisan non-profit membership association that provides training, technical assistance, and services to prosecutors around the country in support of the prosecution profession.
NDAA is holding a Public Information Officer Training in Bellevue, Washington from August 22 - 24, 2022. The requested travel period for District Attorney Haley is from August 21, 2022, through August 25, 2022. The estimated travel cost is $2,000 for District Attorney Haley to attend.
