EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Today's requested action would amend Agreement No. 210016B, increasing it by $25,814 over three years for a new maximum of $1,782,518, to provide 10 additional body worn cameras and applicable licensing to serve as a backup for body worn cameras that require service or repair.

Discretionary Justification:
The Sheriff's body worn camera program has shown to increase public trust through transparency, improve evidence collection and increase law enforcement safety. To ensure continuity of the program, additional cameras are needed to serve as backup to cameras that require service or repair.
Is the general fund affected?
Yes
Future fiscal impact:
The three-year increase total is $25,813.57. The FY 2022-2023 increase of $8,604.49 is currently budgeted. The remaining installment payments of $8,604.54 in FY 2023-2024 and $8,604.54 in 2023-2025 will be budgeted accordingly in future fiscal years.
Consequences if not approved:
If not approved, the agreement would not be amended as requested and Sheriff's Office would not acquire back up body worn cameras.
