RECOMMENDATION

Director of Public Works requests the following actions regarding the Partrick Road Bridge Repair project:
1. Approval of and authorization for the Chair to sign an agreement with ADKO Engineering Inc. (ADKO), for a maximum of $254,808 for the term July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024 for the design; and
2. Approval of Budget Transfer for the following (4/5 vote required):

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Partrick Road Bridge was damaged in the 2014 South Napa Earthquake and has since been out of service. A temporary bridge is handling traffic but will need to be removed and replaced in the near future. The County has been working with FEMA to develop an eligible repair and a repair method has been agreed on however FEMA is still reviewing it for environmental compliance. In parallel the County needs to start the design process with the goal of constructing the project in the 2023 construction season. An agreement with ADKO is now needed to complete the design.
