BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
To ensure requests for future agenda items are addressed in a timely manner and all Board members can provide feedback before significant County resources are invested in such requests, staff is seeking direction from the Board for requests made at the April 19, 2022 Board meeting.
The first request is for the Board to declare a Climate Emergency. The Napa Schools 4 Climate Action requested this action. Staff from Planning, Building and Environmental Services and County Counsel is estimating 8 hours to complete this item.
The second request is to proclaim May as Preservation Month and present a proclamation to Napa County Landmarks Inc. County Executive staff time to prepare and coordinate this item will be 2 hours.
Today’s action is to provide an opportunity for the Board to discuss the request and to provide staff direction.
