SUBJECT: Approval of Budget Adjustment for Purchase of Mattresses and Mattress Covers for the Farmworker Centers.

Director of Housing and Homeless Services requests the following actions:
1. Acceptance of funding in the amount of $23,130 for one hundred and twenty (120) mattresses and one hundred and twenty (120) mattress covers from the St. Helena Farmworker Committee; and
2. Approval of a Budget Adjustment increasing appropriations in the Mondavi Farmworker Center and River Ranch Farmworker Center in the amount of $23,130 with offsetting revenues from a donation from the St. Helena Farmworker Committee for the replacement of one hundred and twenty (120) mattresses or sixty (60) mattresses per site and one hundred twenty mattress covers. ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed action is not a project as defined by 14 California Code of Regulations 15378 (State CEQA Guidelines) and therefore CEQA is not applicable.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
Today’s action approves budget adjustment to increase appropriations in Fund 5060 Napa County Housing Authority, Subdivisions 5060502 and 5060503, by $23,130 with offsetting revenues from a generous donation by the St. Helena Farmworker Committee.
After a thorough review of current mattresses at the Mondavi and River Ranch Farmworker Centers, onsite management strongly recommends replacement of mattresses to help promote healthy accommodations for current and future lodgers.
