EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Today’s action requests approval of budget adjustment to increase appropriations in Fund 5060 Napa County Housing Authority, Subdivisions by $23,130 with offsetting revenues from a generous donation by the St. Helena Farmworker Committee.

Discretionary Justification:

This item is discretionary in that there is no mandate to purchase mattresses. However, there is a need to replace the current mattresses that provide healthy living conditions for 60 lodgers at each site.

If not approved, the County will not be able to fund purchase of mattresses this fiscal year.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed action is not a project as defined by 14 California Code of Regulations 15378 (State CEQA Guidelines) and therefore CEQA is not applicable.

 

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION

Today’s action approves budget adjustment to increase appropriations in Fund 5060 Napa County Housing Authority, Subdivisions 5060502 and 5060503, by $23,130 with offsetting revenues from a generous donation by the St. Helena Farmworker Committee.

After a thorough review of current mattresses at the Mondavi and River Ranch Farmworker Centers, onsite management strongly recommends replacement of mattresses to help promote healthy accommodations for current and future lodgers.
