RECOMMENDATION

Director of Public Works requests the following actions regarding on-call contracts providing construction testing inspection and management of various road projects:
1. Approval of and authorization for the Chair to sign Amendment No. 2 to Agreement No. 190343B with Miller Pacific Engineering Group (MPEG) that extends the contract term an additional year and increases compensation from $400,000 to $500,000 per fiscal year; and
2. Approval of and authorization for the Chair to sign Amendment No. 2 to Agreement No. 180054B with Biggs Cardosa & Associates (BCA) that extends the contract term an additional year.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Two on-call contracts that are needed to provide construction testing inspection and management are set to expire on June 30, 2022, which is in the middle of the upcoming construction season. These two on-call contracts were executed after the completion of a request for qualifications process. Extending the contract dates will allow the County to continue to receive and pay for needed services until to the end of this upcoming construction season.
