Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights and Measures requests approval of and authorization for the Chair to sign Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 170682B with the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), increasing the contract maximum by $80,871 for a new maximum of $1,407,166 for reimbursement of expenditures associated with the exotic pest detection program.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On December 15, 2020, the Board approved renewal of a revenue agreement with CDFA for a maximum of $1,326,295 for the term July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2022 for the reimbursement of services for the Statewide Exotic Pest Detection Program (placement, monitoring, reporting, and inspection of insect traps). CDFA has subsequently identified $80,871 to implement the CALTRAP program, which is a map-based Pest Detection data management application customized to meet California trapping requirements and USDA reporting requirements. Approval of the requested action will allow the Agricultural Commissioner's office to satisfy the contractual requirements.
