EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City of Napa has provided emergency dispatch services to the County of Napa since 1986. Approval of this item will extend the term of Agreement No. 170779B through June 30, 2022 and increase annual services costs by 3% ($62,927) for a new maximum of $2,160,501 for Fiscal Year 2021-2022.

This Cooperative Joint Powers Dispatching Services Agreement is an ongoing expense. The expenditure in Fiscal Year 2021-2022 is $2,160,501, a 3% increase over Fiscal Year 2020-2021 and is included in the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 budget. Beyond Fiscal Year 2021-2022, funding will be budgeted based upon updates to this agreement or other arrangements for dispatch services.
Consequences if not approved:
If this Amendment No. 7 is not approved, the County of Napa will not have dispatch services and will need to develop an alternative plan or begin providing these services internally.
