BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
The National Association of Counties (NACo) holds an annual legislative conference. In 2022, the conference will be held in Washington, D.C. from February 12 through February 15. NACo is the only national organization that advocates for counties before the federal government, working to make sure that county governments are well-represented and better understood as a key element in the governmental structure. Supervisors Dillon and Gregory will attend committee meetings and meetings with congressional offices and federal representatives.
Because the meetings with congress and federal officials take place both before the conference begins and after the conference ends, the requested travel period from February 11, 2022 through February 18, 2022.
