Discretionary Justification:
The requested Emergency Services Officer - Limited Term position is needed to support the County's emergency management capabilities.

Future fiscal impact:
The increased cost of salaries and benefits for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2021-2022 is estimated at $77,191. The annualized cost is estimated at $154,383 and will be budgeted accordingly in future fiscal years.
Consequences if not approved:
If the addition of an Emergency Services Officer - Limited Term is not approved, the limited staff in the Emergency Services Division of the County Executive Office will be without a much-needed dedicated resource tied to emergency preparedness and disaster recovery.
