Director of Public Works requests adoption of a Resolution temporarily closing portion of Duhig Road from 6:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, December 12, 2021, for the Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Motiv Servicing has requested a temporary closure of Duhig Road between Highway 12/121 and the Napa/Sonoma County border, for the Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon. The event begins at Cuvaison Carneros Estate Winery at 7:00 A.M. and finishes in Sonoma Plaza at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, December 12, 2021. The Duhig Road closure is requested from 6:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on December 12, 2021. Duhig Road will be reopened as soon as all the participants clear the area, which could be as early as 8:00 A.M.

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
Motiv Servicing has filed an application for the Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon scheduled for Sunday, December 12, 2021. Proceeds will benefit the Hanna Boys Center in Sonoma, Napa Valley Vine Trail, Native Sons of the Golden West, Sonoma Valley High School athletics, Sonoma Valley Vintage Festival, and the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. The course runs from the Cuvaison Carneros Estate Winery on Duhig Road to Sonoma Plaza.
