EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Approval of the recommended action will allow the District Attorney to apply for and sign grant subaward documents, including applications, amendments, extensions, and modifications, thereof, for the Family Justice Center Program in Napa County. This subaward program is administered by the California Office of Emergency Services to provide State General Funds to support operational multiagency, multidisciplinary Family Justice Centers, providing services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder or dependent adult abuse and human trafficking.

This item is discretionary in that there is no mandate for the District Attorney's Office to provide additional services through the Family Justice Center. However, following the receipt of an emerging Family Justice Center grant, the Monarch Justice Center was established to serve crime survivors in a multidisciplinary collaboration of public and private professionals dedicated to providing access and resources.
