EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of today's requested action is to renew Revenue Agreement No. 190235B with St. Joseph Health Northern California, LLC dba Queen of the Valley Medical Center (Queen) to re-designate as a Stroke Receiving Center pursuant to Section 1798.170 of the Health and Safety Code, for the term January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022 and two additional automatic renewals through December 31, 2024. This designation is necessary to ensure that Stroke Alert patients are referred to facilities offering a high quality of care and that meet Stroke Receiving Center Standards.

Under this Agreement, the Queen shall reimburse the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Agency for functions related to its designation as a Stroke Receiving Center. The annual fee is $30,000 for a total contract maximum of $90,000.
