EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In August 2020 the Board approved the purchase of a ballot sorting-signature capture machine from Tritek Systems Inc. using HAVA/CARES pandemic funding.  The machine has worked flawlessly allowing us to count and canvass November 3, 2020 Presidential Election ballots in record time.  Staff discovered that return envelope processing would improve and staff time and effort reduced by a software upgrade to sort by additional categories.   This contract covers the cost of that software upgrade.  State funding for the recall election will reimburse the cost.
