2. Establishment of one (1) capital asset in the amount of $5,458.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Today's action will authorize a Budget Transfer to increase appropriation in the Equipment Replacement - Roads (Fund 4100, Org 4101000) budget off set by use of available fund balance. Additionally, approval of today's action will revise the Schedule of Approved Capital Assets for the purchase of one (1) paint sprayer, increasing the total appropriation for Equipment Replacement - Roads budget from $60,000 to $65,458.

The paint sprayer will be a portable, standalone piece of equipment that can be easily transported from one project location to another. This will better enable the Roads division to keep up on paint maintenance of stop bars, crosswalks, and other traffic markers in accordance with the Federal Highway Administration's Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways. The continuous painting of the County's traffic markers on County roads is a matter of public safety for both residents and visitors alike.
