EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of today's requested action is to designate Adventist Health, St. Helena as a Stroke Receiving Center pursuant to Section 1798.170 of the Health and Safety Code. This designation is necessary to ensure that Stroke Alert patients are referred to facilities offering a high quality of care and that meet Stroke Receiving Center Standards. This Agreement will enable patients in the northern half of Napa County who require the specialized care and treatment provided by a Stroke Receiving Center to receive life-saving services. The only other Stroke Receiving Center in Napa County is St. Joseph Health Northern California, LLC dba Queen of the Valley Medical Center (Queen of the Valley).
This Agreement expires August 14, 2022 with two additional renewal terms concluding August 14, 2024 for an annual maximum of $30,000 and a total contract maximum of $90,000.
