ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed action is not a project as defined by 14 California Code of Regulations 15378 (State CEQA Guidelines) and therefore CEQA is not applicable.

 

 

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION

This item increases expenditures in the General Liability Insurance sub-division in the amount of $256,733.  The General Liability sub-division has incurred an unexpected adverse court judgment which resulted in claim payment requirements not anticipated during the finalization of the 2020-21 General Liability budget.  These funds are allocated to cover the balance of the court judgment requirement to be paid prior to fiscal year end.   The requested budget adjustment increases the budget to pay this court judgment from fund balance.  Therefore, approval of the budget adjustment in the amount of $256,733 is requested.
