BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION

The California Department of Public Health Tuberculosis Control Branch (CDPH TBCB) has awarded Napa County Public Health Department a final allotment of $8,276 for FY 2020-21 to add to the initial allotment of $8,237 that was processed earlier this year. This allotment is comprised of $3,916 State funds and $4,360 Federal funds. This brings the total allotment to date for FY 2020-21 to $16,513; State funds total $7,779 and Federal funds total $8,734. The final Real-Time Allotment of $8,276 is for local control of TB disease. This final allotment is based upon the number of TB cases reported between November 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020. This allotment can be used for allowable expenditures such as food, shelter, incentives and enablers (FSIE) for TB patients, contacts to TB patients and patients suspected of having TB. To comply with federal restrictions on fund use, reimbursement of medication expenditures is limited to the state fund portion of the award.
