Director of Human Resources and County Executive Officer request adoption of a Resolution amending the Departmental Allocation List for the County Fire Department, effective October 10, 2023, with a net increase of one 1.0 full-time equivalent (FTE), and no impact to the County General Fund.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
If approved, this request adds one 1.0 FTE Project Manager for fire resilience projects within the County Fire Department to support the County's mission to deliver comprehensive countywide fire protection and prevention services.

Future fiscal impact:
The increased costs of salary and benefits tied to new staffing were accounted for within the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Approved Budget.

If not approved, the Fire Protection Division will not be able to fulfill obligations tied to the County's community partnerships related to fire protection and prevention.
