BACKGROUND
The requested 3% cost of living adjustment (COLA) effective July 6, 2024, the first full pay period in July, is consistent with the Memoranda of Understanding previously approved by the Board of Supervisors for the Deputy Sheriff's Association Law Enforcement and Law Enforcement Supervisory Bargaining Units, and Napa County Probation Professionals Association Probation and Probation Supervisory Units. Consistent with the applicable Probation Unit MOU, employees who are y-rated will not receive the 3% COLA. The COLA amounts to $464,243 for Deputy Sheriff's Association employees and $290,408 for Napa County Probation Professionals Association for a total fiscal impact of $754,651.
