BACKGROUND
The Department of Public Works issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Electrical Maintenance and On-Call Services to provide preventative maintenance, repair and inspection services for traffic signals, street lights, lighted crosswalks, flashing beacons, radar speed detection signs, safety lighting and any other lighting equipment on the county owned roadway network.

On May 14, 2024, staff released an RFP for Electrical Maintenance and On-Call Services and received three (3) responses. The firms were evaluated on the following criteria:

1. Responsiveness to RFP: breadth and depth of response, overall quality, responsiveness, and completeness.
2. Range of services provided by the firm.
3. Certifications held by the firm and licenses held by key staff.
4. Emergency response process, availability, and response time.
5. Environmentally sustainable business practices the company utilizes.
6. Rates for routine maintenance and on-call services.

After a review of responses, staff is recommending St. Francis Electric to enter into a professional services agreement with the County for future Electrical Maintenance and on-call service's needs.
