body
BACKGROUND
Pacific Gas and Electrical Company (PG&E) has requested the County to grant it a new utility Easement for underground electrical equipment on airport property to extend their electrical infrastructure from Airport Rd to the new Atlantic Aviation, LLC leasehold. The proposed ten-foot-wide easement is approximately 5,000 square feet in size and is located just South of Airport Road at the main entry to Atlantic Aviation, LLC's leased premises. The proposed easement location is within the vehicle parking areas of the new Atlantic facilities and clear of any runway, taxiway, or apron area.
The PG&E infrastructure improvements and easement are needed to provide power to Atlantic Aviation, LLC's leased premises. Staff has worked with PG&E and Atlantic Aviation, LLC to apply for, assist with design, and draft the easement grant deed to address items such as airport safety and security as required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
For the relocation of power poles and underground electrical infrastructure located on Airport Rd, there is no cost to the Airport or County; however, the electrical improvements located on Airport property that are required to extend electrical service to Atlantic Aviation, LLC's leasehold will be paid by Atlantic Aviation pursuant to its agreement with PG&E.
