BACKGROUND

Napa County is a member of Public Risk Innovation, Solutions, and Management (PRISM), a member-directed risk-sharing pool of counties that provides risk coverage programs and risk management services. Since May 2023, Becky Craig (Craig), the County’s former Assistant Chief Executive Officer, has been serving as the County's primary representative to the Board of Directors with Alfredo Larrañaga (Larrañaga), Safety Officer & ADA Coordinator serving as the alternate representative. With Craig’s separation from the County and risk management services consolidated within Human Resources, it is recommended that the Board appoint Chief Human Resources Officer Christine Briceño as the new County representative to the PRISM Board of Directors. There is no recommended change to Larrañaga’s appointment as the alternate representative.

Requested Action:

Adopt a Resolution appointing the County's Chief Human Resources Officer Christine Briceño as the County's primary representative to the PRISM Board of Directors.
