BACKGROUND
The purpose of this Agreement is to provide the counties within the state of California, as appropriated by Assembly Bill 1824, Chapter 38 (Stats.2018) and Assembly Bill 74, Chapter 23 (Stats.2019), (Voting System Replacement Contracts) pursuant to California Elections Code sections 19400 and 19402 administered by the
Secretary of State, with state funds to reimburse counties for voting system replacement activities. Napa County upgraded its Federal and State certified voting system in 2025 which qualifies for this reimbursement. Reimbursement requires the adoption of the attached resolution and agreement.
Requested Action: Adopt a Resolution authorizing Agreement No. 8705 with the California Secretary of State for Voting System Replacement Funds in the amount of $48,785 to reimburse cost of upgraded voting system.
