Approve and authorize Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 170721B, with Los Carneros Investigative Services for the term July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2027, with an automatic renewal of up to two additional one-year terms for polygraph examinations. (Fiscal Impact; $25,000 expense; General Fund, Budgeted; Mandatory)

BACKGROUND
On January 15, 2017, Corrections entered into Agreement No. 170721B with Los Carneros Investigative Services for pre-employment, criminal specific, or internal affairs investigation polygraph examinations. A polygraph examination is one of the required steps in the peace officer selection process.
Today’s requested action is for the approval of Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 170721B with Los Carneros Investigative Services to extend the term through June 30, 2027 with an automatic renewal of up to two (2) additional terms for pre-employment polygraph examinations and amend the maximum compensation amount to $25,000 per fiscal year.
Los Carneros Investigative Services is a local vendor.

ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed action is not a project as defined by 14 California Code of Regulations 15378 (State CEQA Guidelines) and therefore CEQA is not applicable.
