Adopt a Resolution to amend the Table and Index of Classes and appropriate personnel policies to add the Staff Assistant I/II - BOS classifications to Non-Classified (Other) employee group and remove from the Confidential employee group. (No Fiscal Impact)

BACKGROUND

The Staff Assistant I/II - BOS classification specifications were recently updated to reflect a change in organizational structure to provided dedicated support to each Supervisor district. Prior to the organizational change, these classifications were assigned to multiple Supervisor districts. With the change in organizational structure, a change in employee group for these two classifications from Confidential to Non-Classified (Other) is warranted.

Is there a Fiscal Impact?

No

Consequences if not approved:

The Staff Assistant I/II - BOS classifications will remain in the Confidential employee group.  

 

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: The proposed action is not a project as defined by 14 California Code of Regulations 15378 (State CEQA Guidelines) and therefore CEQA is not applicable.
