Approve and authorize Amendment No. 7 to Lease Agreement No. 170064B with James B. Duncan and Nancy A. Duncan to extend the lease term by 2 years and to increase the monthly rent 3% annually for County's use of space located at 1834 Soscol Avenue, Suite A as the Napa County Probation Department's Evening Reporting Center for youth. BACKGROUND
Since January 24, 2012, under Lease Agreement No. 170064B, Napa County has leased space at 1834 Soscol, Suite A for the Probation Department to operate an Evening Reporting Center (ERC) for youth. The ERC serves as a community-based alternative to detention in Juvenile Hall and provides supervision to medium to high-risk youth between the ages of 14 and 17 years old.
Lease Agreement No. 170064B has been amended six times to extend the term and adjust monthly rent. The Agreement is due to expire on January 31, 2025.
Requested Action:
1. Approve and authorize Amendment No. 7 to Lease Agreement No. 170064B with James B. Duncan and Nancy A. Duncan to extend the term of the lease agreement through January 31, 2027, with a 3% annual increase to the monthly rental fee, for a new monthly rental fee of $3,890 in FY 25 for space located at 1834 Soscol Avenue, Suite A.
