BACKGROUND
Napa County is the recipient of a Highway Safety Improvement Projects (HSIP) Cycle 11 grant for intersection improvements on Silverado Trail at Oak Knoll Avenue, Zinfandel Lane, and at the Strawberry
Patch (approximately 0.40 miles north of the Silverado Trail and Trancas Street intersection), which will reimburse Napa County 90% of project expenses.

On November 28, 2023, the Napa County Board of Supervisors approved a Program Supplement Agreement initiated by Caltrans and approved a budget amendment to transfer $300,000 to cash flow the project from the SB-1 Special Revenue Fund to Project 24015. Federally funded projects require a great deal of administrative effort, and the additional $25,000 will support this effort through construction. Once the County receives our reimbursement, any unused funds will be returned to the SB 1 Special Revenue Fund for use on other projects.

On April 23, 2024, County staff released a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Engineering, Environmental, and Construction Support Services for the HSIP Cycle 11 Silverado Trail Intersection Improvements project.
