RECOMMENDATION
title
Accept an anonymous donation in the amount of $11,600 to the County Children's Trust Fund to support child abuse prevention services in the community and fund child abuse prevention coordinating councils (CAPCs). (Fiscal Impact: $11,600 Revenue; County Children's Trust Fund; Budgeted; Discretionary)
body

BACKGROUND
In 1983, the legislature passed Assembly Bill 2994, which authorized the creation of a County Children's Trust Fund (CCTF). The purpose of the CCTF is to support child abuse prevention services in the community and to fund child abuse prevention coordinating councils (CAPCs).

HHSA received a donation of $11,600 from an organization. Board Resolution No. 05-40 and the Recommended Procedure for the Acceptance and Disbursement of Gifts, Bequests, or Devices requires that donations in excess of $1,000 be accepted by the Board of Supervisors (Board).

If the Board accepts these funds, they will be deposited into the CCTF which resides in HHSA's budget and will be applied to help fund our local CAPC.

Requested Action: Accept anonymous donation of $11,600 to the County Children's Trust Fund.
