EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Dr. Relucio was appointed by the Napa County Board of Supervisors to serve as the Deputy Director of Health and Human Services Agency-Public Health and Public Health Officer in 2015. After serving Napa County for seven years, Dr. Relucio will retire from public service on December 30, 2022.

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
Among countless other challenges faced during Dr. Relucio's tenure, Napa County experienced two wildfires and a historic and unprecedented worldwide COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. In her critical role, she steadfastly guided the County's emergency response, helping to save lives and mitigate negative impacts to residents and all who visit our beautiful region. Dr. Relucio kept health equity at the forefront of the Public Health Division and HHSA through collaborative efforts to improve policies, systems, and environments in ways that promote "health for all" in Napa County, and this included the Public Health Division's receipt of an "Advancing Health Equity" award from the Committee for California's Health.
