EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The County has received funds from Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) as a settlement for damages caused by the 2017 North Bay fires. The Board has designated $16 million of this funding towards road repairs. On May 4, 2021, the Board of Supervisor authorized $5,250,000 in funding to conduct repairs for East Central Paving Project Phase One, which was completed during FY 21-22. The remainder of Phase One funding and an anticipated additional $1,500,000 from PG&E funds will be used to conduct repairs for East Central Paving Project Phase Two, which includes the following roads:
* Second Avenue (All - southbound lane)
* Vichy Avenue (All)
* Mt. George Avenue (All)
* Olive Hill Lane (All)
The Director of Public Works recommends approval of plans and specifications and authorization to put the project out to bid in order to move into the construction phase of the project.
